The Allegany County Teachers' Association is a voluntary membership of 800 pre-K - 12 certificated or licensure educational employees. It is an affiliate of NEA and MSTA.
The National Education Association (NEA) is the nation's largest professional employee organization and is committed to advancing the cause of public education. NEA's 2.7 million members work at every level of education, from pre-school to university graduate programs. NEA has affiliate organizations in every state, as well as in more than 14,000 local communities across the United States.
MSTA is the 64,000-member Maryland affiliate of the National Education Association (NEA), that represents over 2.7 million education employees across the county. MSTA is the state's largest professional employee organization. Members include elementary and secondary teachers, higher education faculty, education support professionals, paraprofessionals, school administrators, retired educators, and students preparing to become teachers, MSTA supports 41 local affiliated associations throughout Maryland.
